Although art can be seemed as a form of entertainment and self expression, it can also be utilized by a country to inspire. From inspiring you to lend a hand for your country or to feel negative about others, Propaganda Art is a great form to showcase how countries were able to utilize art to inspire their nation. Our mission is to show you how these countries of choice used art as their tactics during World War II.
Vision
Our Vision shows the achievements, glory, technological advances,relationship, recruitments, and rivalries in all of the major involved countries. We want our audience to see what people saw during the time of the war. The use of propaganda art from different countries gives a good interpretation of what was going on at the moment. The propaganda posters helps to ennhance the experience of WW2 even thought its started from 1939-1945.
Art and Ideas
In this gallery the propaganda art that was chosen is set out to show the supportment of the war as well as the dedication to how they are going to win the war. The ideas varies from one country to another. The USA had famous well known propaganda art based of empowerment and recruitment. The Soviet Union had propaganda art based not only empowerment but belittling their enemiy countries. Germany propaganda art showed glorification of their country. Japan propagnda art was to show their status and technological advances. The countries overall had propaganda art to highlight in their hope to prevail.
Our countries chosen
For the countries we decided to choose USA, Soviet Union, Germany, and Japan to showcase the varieties of WW2 propaganda art. USA was chosen because of their fascinating involvement of citizens in their country. The Soviet Union was chosen to be part of the propaganda art gallery because of strong depiction of their glory for their country. We chose Germany because they were one of the countries that started another World War. And Japan was chosen because portayal of their enemy and allies showed significance in their propaganda art.
